LEİLİ ALTAY
Born in 1990, Leili Altay is a designer with a background in Graphic Design and Architecture, blending artistic vision with structural understanding. With more than 15 years of experience in the design field, her journey has evolved through multiple creative disciplines, shaping the refined and thoughtful aesthetic that defines her work today.
Leili began her professional path seven years ago by creating wallpaper designs, an area that allowed her to experiment with pattern, texture, scale, and visual balance. This experience opened the doors to large-surface compositions and helped her develop a strong foundation in decorative design.
Five years ago, she expanded her practice into carpet design, where she discovered the perfect medium to merge her cultural heritage with contemporary aesthetics. As an Iranian, she grew up surrounded by some of the world’s finest carpets—pieces known for their craftsmanship, symbolism, and emotional depth. This deep cultural connection continues to inspire her work and forms the core of her artistic identity.
From the earliest hand-drawn sketches on paper to the final digital artwork, Leili manages the entire creative process herself. This hands-on approach allows her to maintain artistic integrity, ensure quality, and bring personal meaning into each design. Her carpets are created not only as visual pieces, but as works that carry emotion, memory, and cultural storytelling.
Today, Leili specializes in digital carpet design, transforming traditional Persian influences into modern, production-ready artworks. Her style bridges heritage with innovation, offering clients elegant, expressive, and functional rug designs suitable for a wide variety of interiors. Each piece reflects a harmony between past and present — honoring timeless motifs while embracing contemporary minimalism and modern geometry.
Leili’s work is the result of a lifelong relationship with patterns and textiles, one that began in her childhood and continues to grow through her dedication to design, craftsmanship, and meaningful creativity.
